Mention Joe Torre and people will call him the man that saved a city, it may not be that bad, but the truth was that the dodgers needed some serious help. The team was losing games, money and fans. Joe was the man that reversed all of that. When Torre first arrived, he was greeted by a pile of remains for a baseball team. It was his job to make sure that these pieces were put back together to form a baseball team. He did the same thing with the dodgers that he did for the Yankees, he made the adjustments where he need them to be made and cut the excess waste that the team had. This left him with a bare bones team, it was time to make believers out of everybody and resurrect the team as a whole.
